El Drogas takes Madrid by storm: two sold-out nights at La Riviera
El Drogas is coming to Madrid — twice. On May 15 and 16, 2026, Enrique Villarreal will take the stage at Sala La Riviera for two consecutive nights of Spanish rock at its most direct. The demand told its own story: the May 16 date sold out quickly after the first show was announced, and May 15 is now the only chance left for Madrid fans to see one of the country’s most enduring live acts.
Villarreal built his reputation over three decades as the bassist and frontman of Barricada, the Pamplona band that became one of Spain’s defining rock institutions from 1982 until their dissolution in 2013 — more than a million records sold, countless shows, a loyal following that has never wavered. His solo career has continued that trajectory: albums, side projects like Txarrena, poetry published under the pen name Eva Zanroi. The 2026 tour is running on the same fuel — sold-out venues across the country, a calendar that keeps expanding, and a live show built on raw energy and three decades of songwriting.
In Madrid, the setlist will draw from the full arc of his work: Barricada anthems alongside solo material, all delivered with the rasp and intensity that has made his voice instantly recognisable. La Riviera is the right room for this kind of night.
Tickets for May 15 are still on sale at the artist’s official website. Don’t wait too long.
