GINEL presents Borde Vivo at Sala Villanos
On May 20, 2026, Sala Villanos in Madrid will host the live presentation of “Borde Vivo”, the debut album by GINEL. The concert will introduce the band’s new material to audiences ahead of the album’s full digital release. The evening will also feature a special appearance by Ecuadorian musician Mauro Samaniego, known for his work with Da Pawn and Tripulación de Osos and recognized within the Latin American indie scene.
Shortly before the event, GINEL will release “Grita”, the first single from the project. The track combines indie soul with reggae influences and contemporary alternative production, creating a sound built around atmosphere, rhythm and emotional precision. The song has quickly become one of the defining pieces of the album.
GINEL is formed by Marta Ge, Mateo Vas, León Sierra, Lev Borovskyi and Ramón Paz. Their music blends organic instrumentation, modern indie aesthetics and carefully layered arrangements, moving between intimate songwriting and expansive live dynamics.
“Borde Vivo” was recorded at Moba Studios in Madrid and mixed and mastered in London by Oli Barton-Wood, known for his work with artists including Tom Misch, Nubiyan Twist and Jordan Rakei. The album explores themes of instinct, emotional connection and collective energy through a warm and immersive sonic approach.
The concert will take place on May 20, 2026 at Sala Villanos in Madrid, with doors scheduled to open at 20:00.
