Toxikull and “Turbulence”: the Portuguese steel storm lands in Spain
Portuguese heavy metal outfit Toxikull is coming to Spain with two dates on the Turbulence European Tour, the continent-wide run supporting the band’s fourth studio album. Founded in 2016 in Cascais by brothers Lex Thunder and Michael Blade, Toxikull have built one of the most relentless track records in the European underground metal scene: over eighty shows in their first years alone, appearances at Vagos Metal Fest and SWR Barroselas, and support slots for Kreator, Exciter, and Crystal Viper. Their live shows are known for raw intensity and an immediate connection with the crowd — energy that sold out a headline show in Lisbon and powered a 36-date European tour in 2024.
Turbulence was released on April 24, 2026 via German label Dying Victims Productions. Produced by Jamie Gomez Arellano — whose credits include Ghost, Opeth, Behemoth, and Angel Witch — the album delivers ten tracks in 39 minutes of pure speed metal precision wrapped in classic heavy metal melodics. The record explores themes of inner struggle and resistance, with the band describing it as a testament to turning every scar into art and every hardship into power. Tracks like “Midnight Fire” and “Flames of Glory” carry the kind of anthemic momentum that fills rooms and earns encores. Decibel Magazine streamed the full album ahead of release, and the metal press worldwide has responded accordingly.
Spain gets two nights of the tour: on May 21, 2026, Toxikull plays Sala Groove in Portugalete, Bizkaia, with Bilbao-based band Görgar as special guests. Doors open at 8:00 PM. The following night, May 22, the band moves to Lennon’s in Barcelona (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat), where Barcelona’s Lorenthell will open the show from 7:30 PM. Both dates come with local support, which has been a defining element of this tour across every country it visits.
Tickets for both shows are available through Entradium — links below for each date. Pricing is listed on the event page. Age restrictions have not been specified by the promoter; contact them directly if needed.
