Francisca Valenzuela brings MALDITA Tour to five Spanish cities
Chilean singer-songwriter and pianist Francisca Valenzuela is returning to Spain with the MALDITA Tour, a five-date concert series showcasing her new album, MALDITA. Throughout October, she will perform in Barcelona, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Madrid and Valencia, bringing a body of work shaped by personal songwriting, musical experimentation and an unflinching approach to intimate experiences.
The Spanish tour begins on October 18, 2026, in Barcelona, at Razzmatazz 3. On October 22, Valenzuela will perform at Sala X in Seville, followed by a show at Es Gremi in Palma de Mallorca on October 24. The tour then moves to Sala UNI Madrid on October 25, before concluding its Spanish run at Loco Club in Valencia on October 26.
At the centre of the concerts is MALDITA, an album that explores motherhood and the postpartum period without idealising the experience. Valenzuela examines a complex range of emotions, including anger, fear, exhaustion and tenderness, alongside the contradictions that can accompany major personal changes. Produced with Francisco Victoria, the record blends alternative pop, darker electronic textures and piano arrangements, an instrument that has long been central to her musical identity.
The album’s early releases include BUGAMBILIA and EXTRACCIÓN, songs that address breastfeeding, identity and the emotional changes associated with motherhood. Through this material, Valenzuela brings deeply personal experiences into her songwriting, offering a perspective that moves beyond conventional representations of motherhood in pop music.
Her work also extends into cultural advocacy. Valenzuela founded Ruidosa, a Latin American platform and festival that has promoted the visibility and equity of women and non-binary people in the music industry since 2016. For her Spanish tour, she is also collaborating with +Músicas, an independent organisation that has supported women’s talent in music since 2018.
The MALDITA Tour brings together a new musical chapter and the personal themes that have shaped Valenzuela’s songwriting. Across five Spanish dates, audiences will have the opportunity to experience an album that combines alternative pop, electronic experimentation and piano with an intimate exploration of identity, motherhood and personal transformation.
