Yves comes to Spain: the Korean artist making pop on her own terms
When LOONA disbanded, Yves — born Ha Soo-young — could have waited for the dust to settle. Instead she signed to independent label Paix Per Mil and released three EPs in under two years, each one a step further from conventional K-pop and closer to a sound entirely her own. What she’s building is global pop with no apologies: hooks designed to work in any language, hyperpop and PC music textures, and collaborations that read like genuine artistic choices rather than label strategy.
That trajectory is most visible on Soft Error (August 2025), her third mini-album. “White Cat” opened the project with layered synths and a sense of composed tension that’s become something of a signature. “Soap”, featuring PinkPantheress, blends Yves' dreamy melodics with the UK artist’s alt-pop instincts and an unexpected Rebecca Black sample — it works. “Aibo”, with Mexican artist Bratty delivering a Spanish-language verse, adds another dimension without feeling forced. The record is a precise statement of where she’s headed: outward, international, on her own clock. After the Cosmic Crispy Tour through Asia and Australia in late 2025, she’s now pointing at Europe.
Spain gets two shows as part of Primavera Tours. On 1 May 2026, Yves plays Sala Apolo in Barcelona; on 3 May 2026, Sala Wagon in Madrid. Doors open at 7:45 PM, shows start at 8:30 PM for both dates.
