Dani Filth to Release Autobiography About His Life With Cradle Of Filth in 2027
Dani Filth, vocalist and founding member of Cradle Of Filth, will release his autobiography The Filth: My Life In Devilry And Debauchery in June 2027. The book will be published by Little, Brown Book Group, part of Hachette UK, with journalist and author Joel McIver serving as co-writer.
The memoir will cover five decades of the British musician’s life, from his childhood in Suffolk and early punk influences to the formation of Cradle Of Filth in 1991 and the band’s rise to international prominence within the extreme metal scene.
According to the announced details, Filth will also discuss his early bands, the development of extreme metal, life on the road, projects outside Cradle Of Filth, and various television and film appearances. The book is expected to include stories involving encounters with French police, an incident at the Vatican, and appearances on BBC and MTV.
The autobiography will follow the release of The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Cradle Of Filth’s fourteenth studio album, which arrived in March 2025. Founded in Suffolk, the English band remains one of the most distinctive and recognizable acts in extreme metal.
