Jorge Drexler Returns to Madrid With Roots and Candombe
Uruguayan singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler will present his new album, 'TARACÁ, ' in Madrid following the success of his Tinta Tiempo tour (2022), which traveled through 35 countries over nearly three years. The artist, winner o 16 Latin GRAMMYs and an Oscar for the song 'Al Otro Lado del Río, ' has remained one of the leading voices in Spanish-language music for more than thirty years.
this new record, Drexler turns his gaze toward his roots, incorporating candombe — a traditional Uruguayan rhythm — reimagined through a contemporary lens. The album’s announcement came alongside the singles 'El fin y el medio' and 'Desastres Fabulosos, ' a collaboration with Mateo Sujatovich of f Conociendo Rusia, which earned him the Latin GRAMMY for Best Pop/Rock Song.
The concert takes place on September 26, 2026, in Madrid, the Movistar Arena. Doors open at 19:30, with the show starting at at 21:00.
