Rufus T. Firefly win the Premio Ruido for best Spanish album of 2025
Rufus T. Firefly have been awarded the Premio Ruido, the prize given by Spain’s specialist music press to the best Spanish album of the year. The band received the award from Julio Ruiz at a ceremony held on March 12 at Sala Berlanga in Madrid.
The winning album is “Todas las cosas buenas”, the group’s eighth studio record, released in April 2025. It beat out strong competition including Lux by Rosalía, Spanish Leather by Guitarricadelafuente, DAISY by rusowsky and Si abro los ojos no es real by Amaia. According to El Diario, the margin over the runner-up was just three votes. The prize is awarded by PAM (Periodistas Asociados de Música), whose members this year voted on more than 240 albums.
The band performed twice during the ceremony: they opened the evening with “Camina a través del fuego” and later performed “Canción de paz” alongside fellow nominees Repion. Founding drummer Julia Martín-Maestro was unable to attend the event. The group from Aranjuez joins a distinguished list of Premio Ruido winners that includes Rosalía (twice), Triángulo de Amor Bizarro (twice), María José Llergo and last year’s winners Alcalá Norte.
