Il Volo Are Coming to Murcia — Three Voices, One Unmissable Summer Night
Il Volo — the Italian lyric trio of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble — are performing in Murcia on July 21, 2026, at the Plaza de Toros de La Condomina, as part of the summer programme Murcia On and the worldwide Ad Astra World Tour. The show begins at 7:30 PM.
Formed in 2010 after the three singers met on Italian television competition Ti Lascio una Canzone, Il Volo are one of the most successful acts in contemporary classical crossover, a genre that fuses opera, symphonic pop, and Italian musical tradition into something that consistently transcends language and audience demographics. Their albums have reached number one in Italy and charted across Spain, the United States, and Europe. In 2015 they won the Sanremo Music Festival with Grande amore, one of the defining Italian pop anthems of the decade. The 2016 collaboration with Plácido Domingo, Notte Magica: A Tribute to the Three Tenors, became a Billboard classical number one. Over fifteen years, the trio has performed at the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls, and collaborated with Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, and Ennio Morricone’s orchestra.
Ad Astra (2024, Epic Records / Sony Music Italy) is their most significant artistic statement to date: their first album composed entirely of original material, featuring sixteen tracks that range from a sweeping interpretation of Now We Are Free — Hans Zimmer’s theme from Ridley Scott’s Gladiator — to a deeply personal reading of Queen’s Who Wants to Live Forever, to the Sanremo-shortlisted single Capolavoro, certified platinum in Italy. The Ad Astra World Tour has already covered North America, Asia, and Latin America; the European summer leg brings the trio to some of the Mediterranean’s most distinctive venues.
The Il Volo concert in Murcia takes place at the Plaza de Toros de La Condomina — a historic bullring inaugurated in 1887, built in eclectic style by architect Justo Millán Espinosa, and capable of holding 15,000 spectators.
