Festival Cruïlla 2026: four days of music, art and comedy by the sea in Barcelona
Some festivals define themselves by a genre. Festival Cruïlla defines itself by the refusal to. Since its early editions it has built a reputation for programming that moves freely between indie rock, electronic music, Latin rhythms, jazz and homegrown Catalan and Spanish talent — all of it at the Parc del Fòrum, an open-air venue beside the Mediterranean. The 2026 edition runs from July 8 to 11 and does nothing to betray that reputation.
Wednesday, July 8, opens with Halsey headlining the main Escenari Estrella Damm stage at 21:45. One of the defining voices of alternative pop over the last decade, Halsey shares the first evening with Reneé Rapp, Norway’s Sigrid and Sen Senra, one of the most compelling songwriters on the Spanish-language indie scene. The Wednesday lineup is smaller in scale, more carefully curated, and a good reason to arrive early.
Thursday, July 9, is the night built around one of the most influential guitar bands in the history of alternative rock. Pixies close the main stage at 23:00 — the band that invented the quiet-loud dynamic, recorded Doolittle and Surfer Rosa, and shaped the sound of an entire generation of musicians. Before them on the same stage: Garbage, with Shirley Manson, as compelling now as they ever were. On the Escenari Occident: Suede at 21:45, one of the finest British bands of their era, and Mishima, the beloved Catalan indie act, at 19:00.
Friday, July 10, belongs to David Byrne, who closes the main stage at 23:15 with the kind of show that goes well beyond the format of a conventional concert. The Talking Heads co-founder has spent decades building performances that are as visually and choreographically considered as they are musically. Earlier on the same stage: The Black Crowes, whose hard-edged Southern rock has lost none of its intensity. Ezra Collective, the Mercury Prize-winning London jazz ensemble, take the Escenari Occident at 21:45. The night stretches into the early hours with Bomba Estéreo and MEUTE, the Hamburg brass ensemble that plays techno on live wind instruments.
Saturday, July 11, ends the festival with Faithless closing the main stage at 01:55 — the collective that spent years proving electronic music could be as emotionally overwhelming in a live setting as any guitar band. The Hives play earlier on the same stage, and Jovanotti brings his singular Italian pop energy to a crowd that knows every word. Rigoberta Bandini performs at Escenari Occident — the Barcelona singer who has become one of the most distinctive and original voices in Spanish pop. The lineup closes with Two Door Cinema Club and Grammy winner Jon Batiste.
The venue is the Parc del Fòrum, an open-air site by the sea, accessible by public transport from central Barcelona. The festival also programmes art installations, comedy and dance alongside the music. A four-day pass is priced at €158 (+ fees); a three-day pass at €149; a Weekend pass (Friday and Saturday) at €138. Single-day tickets range from €75 on Wednesday to €89 on Friday and Saturday. PREMIUM passes are also available, including fast-track entry, a welcome drink, an exclusive viewing area and free parking.
