Así Canta Jerez en Navidad closes El Muelle Live’s 2026 music season
El Muelle Live, the venue in the Port of Alicante, ends its 2026 music programme with Así Canta Jerez en Navidad, a Christmas show celebrating its 15th anniversary on November 7. It will be the last concert of the year before the site is temporarily integrated into the setup for The Ocean Race 2027. Activity will resume in 2027 with new dates.
Así Canta Jerez en Navidad is one of Spain’s best-known Christmas shows, and this anniversary edition brings a renewed programme that, according to its organisers, keeps faith with its roots. Under the musical direction of Luis de Perikín, a cast of artists from Jerez recreates the spirit of the traditional zambombas, combining flamenco, villancicos (Christmas carols), palmas and compás in a communal celebration designed for families. The organisers say it conveys the essence of Christmas in Jerez, one of Andalusia’s most distinctive cultural traditions.
The closing also serves as a review of the venue’s first period. Since opening in July 2025, El Muelle Live has come close to 100,000 attendees and passed 21,000 social media followers. It has hosted more than 50 music, food and cultural events for all ages, alongside sporting events, private gatherings, corporate celebrations and special brand activations, which the organisers cite as proof of its versatility.
The pause is due to the transformation of the site into the Ocean Live Park for the start of The Ocean Race 2027, which the organisers describe as one of the major international events Alicante will host that year. After the break, El Muelle Live will resume its programme with new concerts.
One of the first dates announced for the next season is Alejandro Astola on September 4, 2027, with “Mi Guitarra y Yo 2.0”. The Seville-born artist, founder of Fondo Flamenco and later a member of Astola y Ratón, is starting a solo chapter that returns to his beginnings: a guitar, a notebook and songs written from the heart. With more than two decades as a songwriter and performer, he has built a world of his own in which personal stories, Andalusian roots and direct contact with the audience take centre stage. In this format, his most personal songs sit alongside unreleased compositions in an intimate show.
