Wolfmother

Wolfmother bring their roaring 2000s classic rock to Valencia

On July 23, Valencia hosts one of the most anticipated rock shows of the summer: Australian band Wolfmother take Roig Arena with the powerful, 70s-tinged guitar sound that has made them one of modern rock’s most recognizable names. Anthems like Woman, Joker & the Thief and New Moon Rising still hit as hard live as ever.

The show arrives as part of the 20th anniversary of Wolfmother’s self-titled debut album, released in 2005, which turned the Sydney quartet into one of the decade’s defining rock acts. The set pairs frontman Andrew Stockdale’s signature riffs with material from later records.

The Valencia stop is one of seven Spanish tour dates: July 17 Barcelona (Razzmatazz 2), July 18 Pamplona (Navarra Arena, with ZZ Top), July 19 Madrid (Sala But), July 21 Seville (Sala Custom), July 22 Murcia (Sala Mamba!), July 23 Valencia (Auditorio Roig Arena), and July 26 Burgos (Sala Andén 56).

In Valencia, rock trio Ciclonautas open the night. Doors and show start at 19:30. Tickets from 35 euros via getrock.es and the venue’s website.
