CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso Are Bringing the Free Spirits World Tour to Spain
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso have had one of the most turbulent — and most compelling — rises in contemporary Latin music. Buenos Aires schoolmates Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises “Paco” Guerriero released their first singles in 2018, went quiet during the pandemic, then came roaring back in 2024 with a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR that clocked over 50 million views and announced them to the world. Their album Baño María cemented their reputation at home; their EP Papota won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album at the 2026 ceremony, alongside five Latin Grammy wins the previous autumn.
The road to their new album was anything but smooth. In late 2025, the duo was set to release their second full-length LP, Top of the Hills, when they pulled the plug the day before launch. The pressure of sudden global stardom had become too much to handle — a fact they stated openly in a public message to their fans. That admission became the foundation of Free Spirits, released on March 19, 2026: 12 tracks built around the concept of a creative and emotional reset, featuring guest appearances from Sting, Anderson.Paak, Fred again., and Jack Black. The album blends trap, hip-hop, jazz, funk, and pop into something that sounds entirely like theirs — and the world tour of the same name is now bringing it to the largest stages the duo has ever played.
Spain gets two stops on the Free Spirits World Tour: September 10, 2026 at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona (doors at 8:30 PM), and September 17, 2026 at Movistar Arena in Madrid (start time 9:00 PM). Both are among the biggest indoor venues in their respective cities, and both shows represent a genuine landmark in the trajectory of CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso.
