Legendary American heavy metal band Twisted Sister have officially canceled all concerts scheduled for 2026. Dee Snider himself addressed the situation in a personal message, confirming that his decision is based solely on health issues. The singer has been dealing with degenerative arthritis for many years and has undergone several surgeries in recent years. Despite this, he continued to perform, but recent medical evaluations indicated that further touring could pose a serious risk. According to Snider, he is unwilling to take the stage unless he can perform at a level that meets his own standards and the expectations of the fans.
The cancellation of the anniversary tour came as a surprise to many fans. In the fall of 2025, Twisted Sister officially announced their return to the stage and confirmed plans for a limited world tour to mark their 50th anniversary. At the time, the band stressed that this was not a permanent reunion but a series of special performances, which are now no longer possible.
