The sons of key members of the legendary band KISS — Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons — have officially made their entry into the music industry with the release of their debut single “Body Down.” The track marks the first release from their joint project Stanley Simmons, formed by Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons.
The musicians emphasize that the project was not originally planned. What began as a casual studio collaboration quickly evolved into a full-fledged creative partnership once the results proved convincing. According to the artists, Stanley Simmons emerged organically — without pressure from their famous last names and without any intention of replicating the sound of KISS.
The debut single was created with the involvement of experienced industry professionals. Songwriter and guitarist Jacob Bunton, known for his work with various rock artists, contributed to the project. The track was produced by Rob Cavallo, a renowned producer whose résumé includes collaborations with Green Day and My Chemical Romance, setting a high production standard from the outset.
For Evan Stanley, the release of “Body Down” represents a natural continuation of his musical path. He previously served as the frontman of the band Amber Wild, which performed as an opening act for KISS during the group’s farewell tour, giving him early experience on major stages and exposure to large rock audiences.
Nick Simmons, meanwhile, brings a diverse creative background to the project. He appeared on the reality television series Gene Simmons Family Jewels, worked in comics and animation, and provided voice acting for various productions. Observers note that this multidisciplinary experience is reflected in his approach to music.
The debut single “Body Down” is seen as a starting point for the future development of Stanley Simmons. The musicians have confirmed that they are already working on new material and do not rule out the release of a full-length album. At the same time, they stress their intention to build a distinct identity rather than exist solely in the shadow of KISS.
