Great Straits bring the music of Dire Straits to Alicante’s waterfront stage
On 23 August 2026, Great Straits will perform The Great Songs of Dire Straits at El Muelle Live in Alicante, celebrating the music of one of Britain’s most influential rock bands. The concert focuses on the group’s best-known songs, bringing decades of iconic songwriting back to the stage.
Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Óscar Rosende, Great Straits has earned recognition for faithfully capturing the signature guitar work and vocal style associated with Mark Knopfler. Backed by a nine-piece band, the show features classics including Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Romeo and Juliet and Brothers in Arms, performed with close attention to the original arrangements.
The concert will take place at El Muelle Live, the open-air venue located in the Port of Alicante, with the performance scheduled to begin at 9:00 pm.
