The Power Of 3 Announce Debut Album, Release Double Single
The Power Of 3 — the new trio featuring singer-guitarist Orianthi, drummer Cindy Blackman Santana and bassist Rhonda Smith — has announced its self-titled debut album, due out December 11 via She2Music. Alongside the announcement, the band released its double single, “War In The Streets” and “Treat Me Like A Lady, ” now available on all streaming platforms.
The record was produced by veteran Eddie Kramer, known for his work with Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, KISS and The Rolling Stones, and features a guest appearance from guitarist Carlos Santana. Recorded entirely in analog, the project traces back to an idea from Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, who encouraged Orianthi to form a Band Of Gypsys-style power trio and also wrote the chorus of “War In The Streets.” The Power Of 3 has already performed twice at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, most recently before the Raiders-Cowboys game last November.
“I know people all over the world want to see us ,” said Orianthi.
