Burning Witches Part Ways With Laura Guldemond After Seven Years: Who Will Replace the Singer?
Swiss heavy metal band BURNING WITCHES have announced the departure of Laura Guldemond, who had been a member of the group since 2019. Jennifer Gruber of FIREBORN will temporarily replace the vocalist at upcoming shows. The band has already started looking for a permanent new singer.
In their official statement, the musicians confirmed that Laura made the decision to leave. Although they discussed the possibility of continuing to work together, they ultimately respected her choice. All previously announced BURNING WITCHES shows will go ahead as scheduled.
Guldemond also commented on the split. According to the singer, her seven years with the band represented an important chapter in her career. She expressed pride in the four albums recorded with the group and emphasized that the separation comes without hard feelings. Differences in creative perspectives were cited as the reason for the change.
Laura joined BURNING WITCHES in June 2019, replacing Seraina Telli. Her live debut with the band took place at the Sweden Rock festival in Sweden.
The singer’s final studio album with the group was Inquisition, released in August 2025 through Napalm Records. The record became BURNING WITCHES' sixth full-length album.
The band’s first performance with Jennifer Gruber is scheduled for November 7 at the Metal At Lust festival in Malta. Guldemond plans to focus on her own music and new creative projects.
