Jean-Michel Jarre to Celebrate 50 Years of Oxygene with Immersive Barcelona Concert in 2027
Jean-Michel Jarre will bring his OXYGENE & BEYOND tour to Barcelona on 24 October 2027. The French electronic music pioneer is set to perform at Palau Sant Jordi in a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of Oxygene, one of the landmark albums in electronic music history.
The European tour will begin in autumn 2027, combining some of Jarre’s best-known compositions with music from his forthcoming studio album, scheduled for release in spring 2027. The production promises an immersive journey through the artist’s musical universe, connecting five decades of sonic innovation with new creative explorations.
Originally released in 1976, Oxygene helped bring electronic music to a wider international audience. Its distinctive analogue synthesizers, atmospheric soundscapes and instrumental arrangements established it as a defining work in Jarre’s career.
The anniversary celebrations will also include a special 50th-anniversary edition of Oxygene, due for release on 20 November 2026. The edition will feature a new stereo remaster, Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes, alongside additional content.
