Alan Parsons Live Project in Mallorca: the architect of Pink Floyd’s sound, live in Palma
There are artists whose careers read less like a biography and more like a history of modern music itself. Alan Parsons is one of them. He cut his teeth as a teenage sound engineer at Abbey Road Studios, working on the final Beatles sessions before engineering Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” (1973) — a record widely considered one of the finest-sounding albums ever made. He then built his own creative universe with The Alan Parsons Project, the duo he founded with Eric Woolfson in 1975, releasing eleven studio albums of immaculate progressive rock and art pop that earned eleven Grammy nominations and produced some of the most enduring songs of the late twentieth century. On June 23, 2026, the Alan Parsons Live Project brings all of that history to Palma, Mallorca.
The live band performing in Mallorca has spent years honing this repertoire on stages around the world. Vocalist P.J. Olsson, a constant presence since 2004, leads a set that spans the full arc of the Project catalogue — “Sirius”, “Eye in the Sky”, “Games People Play”, “I Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You”, and more — alongside material from Parsons' solo years. The production is a natural extension of everything Parsons stands for: the sound design is precise, the lighting integral to the experience, and the setlist built to move through decades without losing pace.
The concert takes place at the Velòdrom Illes Balears in Palma, which will be reconfigured as an intimate auditorium-style venue for the occasion — optimised for both acoustic quality and sightlines. The show is part of the Mallorca Concert Series, a cycle promoted by Hay Ganas de Concierto that has established Mallorca as a serious stop on the European live music circuit. The event has institutional backing from the Govern de les Illes Balears and is co-funded by the Sustainable Tourism Tax Fund.
Doors open ahead of the 22:00 show time. Tickets are available at hayganasdeconcierto.com, alanparsons.com and elcorteingles.es. Check the official channels for pricing and availability.
