Antorchas Festival 2026: Five Editions In, Albacete Is Still on Fire
Now in its fifth year, Antorchas Festival has quietly become one of the most consistent summer events on the Spanish indie pop circuit. Taking place from June 18 to 20, 2026 at the Recinto Ferial de Albacete, the festival — organised by the city’s own Ayuntamiento — combines a strong music programme with a gastronomic experience that sets it apart from most events its size. Three days, multiple stages, Michelin-starred chefs, and a lineup that genuinely delivers on the promise of the national indie summer calendar.
The 2026 edition brings the strongest bill in the festival’s history. On Friday, June 19, La M.O.D.A. — one of the most beloved indie bands in Spain, back with their latest record after a break — headline alongside Rigoberta Bandini, making her first-ever appearance in Albacete as part of her Jesucrista Superstar Tour. On Saturday, June 20, Carolina Durante headline — returning by popular demand after their fans spent considerable effort making the case for it — with Ojete Calor turning the night into something between a concert and a surrealist party. Across all three days the lineup also includes Sidecars, Ginebras, Marlena, Hoonine, Carlos Ares, Elyella, We are Scientists, Los Enemigos, Zahara Rave, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, Paquita Calavera, Vuelo Fidji, Carletti Porta & Curro Violero, and Albacete DJ duo Aguacate y Mango.
The GastroExperience programme remains one of the festival’s most distinctive features. The Templete Food Market at the Recinto Ferial and activities at the Museo de la Cuchillería will showcase some of Spain’s most recognised chefs, including Fran Martínez and Cristina Díaz from Restaurante Maralba in Almansa (two Michelin stars) and Javier Sanz and Juan Sauquillo from OBA in Casas Ibáñez (one Michelin star).
