Altın Gün: a renewed vision of Anatolian rock and psych-folk in Spain
The Dutch-Turkish ensemble Altın Gün, widely acclaimed for its inventive approach to Anatolian rock and Turkish psych-folk, is set to perform four concerts in Spain. The confirmed schedule includes April 14 in Bilbao (Kafe Antzokia), April 15 in Santiago de Compostela (Sala Capitol), April 16 in Madrid (Teatro Eslava) and April 18 in Barcelona (Paral·lel 62).
On stage, Altın Gün blends traditional Anatolian motifs with psychedelic guitar lines, analogue keyboards and dynamic, groove-driven rhythms. Their use of the saz adds a distinctive melodic color that anchors the music in its cultural heritage, while the band’s arrangements elevate these influences with a contemporary pulse. The result is a sound that feels equally rooted and modern, offering audiences a detailed and immersive live experience.
The chosen venues highlight the group’s strengths: intimate enough to capture tonal nuance yet large enough to support their energetic presence. For listeners in Spain, this tour is a rare chance to encounter a project that bridges eras and aesthetics through a cohesive, forward-looking musical language.
